Zambia's Mufulira Municipal Council through the department of public health, yesterday buried the feet of a human being that were discovered inside a crocodile’s stomach that was killed early this week in Mufulira District on the Copperbelt.
On Sunday March, 19, 2023 Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba disclosed that Kansunswa Police in Mufulira District received a report where two human feet where discovered in the stomach of a crocodile which was killed on the banks of Kafue River.
Mr. Mweemba told Mafken FM radio that, preliminary investigations suggested that the victim may have been a missing person involved in a crocodile attack despite the police not receiving any report of a missing person.
And Council Assistant Public Relations Manager Thandiwe Tembo has confirmed that the feet were buried at Kansuswa cemetery.
Ms. Tembo has stated that the burying of the feet is in line with section 27(d) of the public health act of the laws of Zambia.
