Ruth Ama Gyan-Darkwa, A KNUST graduate from Ghana becomes the youngest Ph.D. student at a US university

Ghana celebrated Ruth Ama Gyan-Darkwa's graduation in December 2021 after studying Mathematics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
In 2017, Ruth became the youngest person to be admitted to a university in the country at the age of 13.
In less than two years after receiving her first degree, the female prodigy has become the University of New Mexico's youngest Masters/PhD student.
After she completes her doctorate in electrical engineering, Ruth dreams of working for America's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
