South African businessman, Elon Musk is competing for the purchasing of Manchester United football club in a rare move that has brought euphoria to most soccer fanatics in Africa.
The business mogul confirmed his intents to bid for the purchase of the European club barely days after the Glazers advertised the selling of the red devils.
The Glazers bought Manchester United in 2005.
It is widely believed that the move to sell the club comes amid growing unpopularity of the owners amongst the club supporters.
The club is pegged at a minimum price of £5bn according to London media reports.
A faction within the red devils has made yearn for the club to be sold to billionaire Musk; the richest person in the world with net worth hovering around $172bn.
