Zambia national football team captain and Brighton FC player, Enock Mwepu, has cut his career short due to health reasons.
The Chipolopolo Star, 24, has been diagnosed with hereditary heart disease which doctors said it will have fatal effects if the midfielder continues with competitive football.
Former Salzburg player, Mwepu, was recently ill while he was on nation duty in Mali where he failed to play during international football break.
He spent almost a week in hospital there before flying to England where doctors spilled the nerve-shocking news.
Other players that were found in same circumstances include former Argentina and Manchester City striker, Kun Aguero who was forced to end his 15 years old career. And Christian Erickesn, who collapsed during game but he survived and he's back on ground playing for Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Zambian state president, Hakainde Hichilema has whished the footballer quick recovery and has promised to support him.
