Davido and DJ Maphorisa have once again collide on social media after a tweep claimed that it is Davido who took Amapiano from South Africa and made it big deal abroad.
The tweet further said that Wizkid's participation in the genre helped it to gain more exposure.
Well, the controversial DJ, Maphorisa couldn't agree with the statement. He debated that it was him and his Scorpion King counterpart, Kabza De Small who firstly recruited Nigeria's mega superstars Wizkid and Burna Boy on Amapiano record as early as the genre was germinating.

In a retweet, Afro-Beats giant Davido said DJ Maphorisa has always been bitter to him (Davido), despite being nice to him (DJ Maphorisa).
According to this publication, a song called Sponono that features vocals from Wizkid , Cassper Nyovest and Burna Boy came out 3 years ago a year before Davido jumped on any Yanos beat.
According to facts, DJ Maphorisa is right. He was the first Artist to take the genre out of South Africa. However, Davido's efforts can not go unnoticed. He played a huge role in making sure that the genre has takeover the world.
