Wasafi Records founder, Diamond Platnumz |
Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) boss, Diamond Platnumz says he's not in regrets with his record label taking 60 percente of total revenue from artists.
Rayvanny's exit from the record label which forced him to buy the remainder of his 10 year contract at 1 billion Tanzanian Shillings, sparked hot debate on how Diamond and his company treat their signees.
P Funk Majami, legendary producer and Bongo Records boss who bullied airwaves and charts in 90s and early 2000 was the first to question contracts at Wasafi.
"Both Harmonize and Rayvanny have left, those were elephants in the room. Something is terribly wrong for sure" claimed the Bongo master.
One of the managers at WSB came out with very little descriptions of their contracts, but threw jabs at P Funk Majani as naive.
"We can not exchange words with the legend, but he must observe limits, contracts are private entities, we are not ready to talk about that too." said the manger.
Inside Rayvanny's camp, sources indicate that the artist was not happy at the record label.

Another former WCB artist, Harmonize has recently accused his former record label for continuing chopping off her 60 percent of his revenue even after the Kwangwaru crooner walked away from them.
Meanwhile, Diamond Platnumz told the Nation Newspaper that he is not sorry about the exploitive contracts.
